Coburn Packard is a partner at Apollo Global Management, responsible for the firm’s U.S. real estate equity investment business.
Prior to joining Apollo in September 2010, he led the investment activities of Ridgeline Capital Group, an independent real estate investment management company focused on investments to restructure and recapitalize real estate companies and properties in the United States. Prior to co-founding Ridgeline in 2009, Mr. Packard was a senior principal of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners. Mr. Packard was a founding member of Lehman Brothers’ real estate private equity business focused on investing in the Americas with involvement in the formation, structuring and fundraising activities of the business. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners in 1999, Mr. Packard was a member of Lehman Brothers' Real Estate Investment Banking Group, where he participated in numerous debt, and public and private equity financing and strategic advisory assignments on behalf of public and private real estate companies.
Mr. Packard has directly invested and has been actively involved in the asset management and disposition activities of real estate transactions with a total capitalization of over $25 billion throughout the United States and Latin America and across asset classes. He has served as on the board of directors of portfolio companies including Archstone and Tishman Hotel & Realty. Mr. Packard is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Yale Real Estate Alumni Association and earned a B.A. in Ethics, Politics and Economics from Yale University.

Prior to joining Citigroup, Mr. Coyle was the Senior Strategist at Property & Portfolio Research. From 1990 to 1996, Steve conducted strategic research and due diligence for office, land, and industrial acquisitions for TCW/Westmark Realty Advisors (now CB/Richard Ellis Investors). During the late 1980s, Mr. Coyle was also a Research Director at Grubb & Ellis and worked for Park Square Associates, a New York – based developer.
Steve has been published in many journals and newspapers, and he is a frequent speaker at industry-sponsored events. Mr. Coyle received a B.A. in Economics and German from Hampden-Sydney College, and an M.A. in Economic Policy from Boston University.

At its peak, MSRE Investing had approximately $100 billion of assets under management in 33 countries and 25 offices around the world with over 800 full time staff. The largest concentrations of asset holdings were in the US, UK, Germany, Japan and China.
Prior to managing MSRE Investing globally, Sonny helped to build its Asian business, spending nine years in Hong Kong and Tokyo. During his tenure, the team grew to over 300 professionals, with an operation that included Japan, China, India, South Korea, Australia and a number of other countries. Before joining Morgan Stanley in 1991, Sonny was employed by PaineWebber in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department. Sonny has been involved on the boards of a number of the MSRE portfolio companies and continues to act as an important advisor to many of their management teams. He has been cited in several publications for his profile in the real estate industry, including Private Equity Real Estate magazine as one of the “30 Most Influential” people in private equity real estate globally.
He is a graduate of Georgetown University with a degree in Business Administration and remains actively involved with the school. Prior to forming JCR in May 2006, Mr. Rollins was a Managing Director of GMACCM’s Structured Products Group. In this role Mr. Rollins managed a $500 million balance sheet position that focused on originating bridge loans, mezzanine loans, and participating debt. The platform focused on opportunistic real estate transactions, in particular, multifamily, retail, office, industrial, land and affordable housing asset classes.
Mr. Rollins started the Structured Products Group (SPG) in 1999, and over that time originated and was repaid on over $1.1 billion of high yield loans, achieving an unleveraged IRR of 9.7%. SPG was recognized nationally by numerous industry periodicals including Mezzanine Lender of the Year honors.
Prior to GMACCM, Mr. Rollins was the President and Founder of Eastern Realty Corporation, a real estate investment and advisory company. Eastern Realty purchased over $400 million of distressed (primary, land and commercial) assets from the RTC and other distressed financial institutions. The assets were repositioned and resold by Eastern Realty. These repositioning efforts included debt restructuring, land development and construction. Eastern Realty was a joint venture partner with Wall Street investment banks, real estate opportunity fund and private equity firms.
Prior to forming Eastern Realty, Mr. Rollins was Director of Finance for the public homebuilder, NVR, LP. In this position Mr. Rollins was responsible for capital relationships and structuring debt and equity for land development and construction projects.
Mr. Rollins began his career as a commercial real estate lender with regional banks in the Washington, DC area. Mr. Rollins holds an MBA in Finance from George Washington University and an undergraduate degree in Finance and Marketing from Virginia Tech.

Baczewski has over 25 years of experience in institutional real estate investment, finance, management and monitoring, along with 10 years of Big Four public accounting experience.
Baczewski’s breadth and depth of institutional real estate experience includes investment strategy development, portfolio and asset management, due diligence and transaction management, operational reviews, accounting, performance measurement, client service and capital formation. At REFS, which he founded in 2005, his responsibilities include leading consulting assignments in the areas of investment, portfolio, asset and transaction management, including due diligence and Real Estate Information Standards (REIS) related policy development.
Baczewski has led clients through real estate strategy development, portfolio analysis and review, independent fiduciary assignments, transaction due diligence, manager and vehicle selection and performance measurement analysis. He has also performed operational audits of real estate investment and management organizations.
Baczewski Chairs the REIS Board, which promulgates information standards for the institutional real estate investment industry. Additionally, he formerly served on the REIS Council and served as technical project manager for the 2003 Real Estate Information Standards rewrite.
Since 1999, Baczewski has been an independent consultant serving the institutional real estate industry. Additional positions have included: chief financial officer of Pyramid Hotel Group; and managing director of business development for AMRESCO Advisors, where he was a member of the firm’s Management and Investment Committees. Baczewski also held a series of real estate consulting and portfolio management positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Frank Russell Company, Russell Fiduciary Services Company and AEW Capital Management.
Baczewski is a Counselor of Real Estate; a fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute, which comprises a group of industry leaders who lend their expertise to the Weimer School of Advanced Studies in Real Estate and Land Economics; a former Editorial Board Member of The Institutional Real Estate Letter-North America and serves as a director of Benchmark Research Technologies, an independent research and strategic consulting firm serving the real estate industry.
Baczewski actively participates in several professional associations, including the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (former board member), Pension Real Estate Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), CFA Institute, the Boston Security Analysts Society, and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.

Prior to joining the CFA Institute in August 2005, Chuck was Managing Director, Investment Research, Chief Investment Strategist and Managing Director, Defined Contribution Plans for General Motors Asset Management (GMAM). Chuck sat on the AIMR Board of Governors from 1995 to 2001 and served as the Board’s chair from 1999 to 2000. He also chaired CFA Institute task forces on personal investing standards and soft dollar standards, co-chaired the CFA Institute Performance Presentation Standards Implementation Committee, and chaired the task force that developed the CFA Institute’s The Corporate Governance of Listed Companies: A Manual For Investors. He holds both a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. From 1990-2008, Chuck served on the endowment investment committee for Lehigh University and from 1998-2008 was the committee's chair; from 1998-2010 he served as a member of Lehigh’s Board of Trustees, and is currently a Lehigh trustee emeritus.
