Jason Carney is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ridgeline Partners, LLC, a privately owned investment firm focused on special credit situations.  Prior to founding Ridgeline, Jason co-founded the distressed debt business at Palatine Capital Partners in 2009 and was responsible for all real estate secondary debt efforts. Prior to joining Palatine, Jason led whole loan sourcing, diligence and execution at Silver Point Capital, a Connecticut-based distressed securities hedge fund with approximately $8 billion under management. During his tenure at Silver Point, Jason covered fifty of the highest profile banks, finance companies and special servicers enabling over $500 million in whole loan purchases and was instrumental in the creation and implementation of Silver Point’s whole loan trading and workout infrastructure. Jason was also a senior member of the bankruptcy claim team at Silver Point, which was responsible for the purchase and sale of $5 billion in bankruptcy claims and over $1 billion in claims put protection. Prior to Silver Point, Jason was a sourcer/trader with Mission Capital Advisors, a boutique investment bank specializing in trading non-performing, sub-performing and performing loans secured by commercial real estate, residential real estate and business assets. Jason began his career at MJ Whitman/Third Avenue Management, a broker-dealer and mutual fund, as a sales and trading assistant on the distressed / high-yield trading desk. Jason graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Business Management in 2000.

Andrew Milgram is a Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Marblegate Asset Management.  Prior to forming Marblegate, Mr. Milgram was a Principal at Epic Asset Management where he was responsible for generating, evaluating, executing, and managing investments in a portfolio of distressed and special situation assets across a variety of industry sectors.  In addition, he coordinated the firm’s overall research process and directed its team of investment analysts.  Mr. Milgram has sat on a variety of official and ad-hoc creditor committees and has been deeply involved in a number of corporate restructurings in both the United States and abroad.  Prior to joining Epic, Mr. Milgram was a part of the capital market businesses at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi.  Mr. Milgram began his career at Swiss Bank Corp (now UBS) where he was part of the global emerging market team responsible for the bank’s proprietary investments in Russia, Africa and the Middle East.  Mr. Milgram holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and graduated from Colby College with a BA in Economics and International Studies.  Mr. Milgram sits on the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Steve is a Director in the New York office of PwC’s Business Recovery Services practice (BRS).  Steve has more than 14 years of business advisory experience with PwC, during which he has been assigned to the firm’s London, New York and Dubai offices, giving him a truly global perspective on transaction advisory. Steve has provided financial advisory services to many of our local and international clients, spanning the whole deal spectrum from devising acquisition/disposal strategies to performing valuations and due diligence  and independent business reviews, and identifying and negotiating with potential investors. Mr. Hioe founded Raith Capital Partners in February 2012 after serving as Managing Director at Rialto Capital Management, which he joined in 2009. While at Rialto, Mr. Hioe was involved in the firm’s acquisitions effort for whole loan portfolios, distressed assets, and securities. In the distressed loan space, these transactions included $3 billion of non-performing loans from the FDIC and approximately $2 billion in acquisitions of loans from regional banks and financial institutions that resulted in over $850 million of invested equity. Mr. Hioe led the development of Rialto’s securities investing business, which ultimately established the firm as the largest B piece investor in the CMBS 2.0 marketplace. By the end of 2011, the firm had 10 transactions closed or circled with projected invested equity of over $225 million. Mr. Hioe also directed the underwriting effort for the firm in its role as co-manager in the Public Private Investment Program (PPIP) and managed Rialto’s effort to act as an issuer for the first non-performing loan securitization to take place since the late 1990s. During his tenure, Rialto Real Estate Fund 1 closed with $700 million in committed equity. Prior to Rialto, Mr. Hioe worked at The Blackstone Group in the firm’s real estate private equity fund, focused on analyzing real estate investments in several property types. He was involved in the acquisition of Equity Office Properties as well as the valuation and asset management of Hilton Hotels’ residential timeshare business. Mr. Khan is the founder and Managing Principal of Stabilis Capital Management, LP. He manages three Stabilis funds with approximately $300 mm in AUM and commitments.  Mr. Khan spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs in loan acquisitions, with the last 7 years as a business unit leader.  Mr. Khan then led Silver Point Capital’s middle market loan acquisition business for six years.  Mr. Khan started and ran the US small and middle market loan acquisition business (same business as Stabilis):  For Silver Point Capital from 2004-March 2010 and invested over $550 million. For Goldman Sachs from 2001-2004 and invested over $400 million.


He started and led the Latin American distressed loan acquisition business in small commercial and industrial loans, single family mortgage loans and other consumer loans for Goldman Sachs from 1997-2001 and invested over $250 mm. Prior to his leadership roles, Mr. Khan served as a key investment professional on over $2.0 billion in loan acquisitions for Goldman Sachs. Mr. Khan graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Harvey Tepner is a Principal of WL Ross & Co. Mr. Tepner’s expertise encompasses many elements of business strategy, corporate governance, corporate finance and business reorganizations including valuations, leveraged finance, developing business and plans of reorganization, and negotiating the restructuring, acquisition or sale of distressed or bankrupt companies.  In his various capacities, he helps establish and implement strategic directions and initiatives for portfolio companies and companies emerging from bankruptcy, and serves or has served on the boards of directors of several companies he helped to reorganize.

Prior to joining WL Ross, Mr. Tepner was a Partner at Compass Advisers, an international investment banking firm, where he ran the Restructuring Group.  He began his Wall Street career at Rothschild Inc. and subsequently was an officer in the corporate finance departments of Dillon Read & Co. (now part of UBS) and Loeb Partners.

Mr. Tepner has a B.A. from Carleton University, an M.B.A. from Cornell University and is a Chartered Accountant (Canada), having begun his career with Price Waterhouse.  He is a director of Core-Mark Holding Company, Inc., an $8.8 billion distribution company, and previously served as a director of Global Aero Logistics, Inc. (formerly ATA Airlines) from 2006 to 2007, a military and scheduled service airline, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.  Mr. Tepner also serves as a director of several WL Ross & Co. portfolio companies.  Mr. Tepner held academic appointments in accounting at Cornell University and York University and has written extensively about corporate reorganizations and troubled company acquisitions including co-authoring A Guide for Acquiring Businesses in Bankruptcy.

Conor joined Dillon Eustace in 1998 and currently leads the Firm’s finance practice.  Conor’s work covers a broad range of finance and capital markets matters.  His clients include many of the world’s largest hedge funds, private equity funds, distressed funds and other opportunistic investors who he regularly advises on the acquisition, financing and/or management of distressed loans and other assets in a number of jurisdictions.  In recent years he has be to the forefront of the on-going restructuring, recapitalisation and deleveraging of Irish banks. Conor is also regularly involved on behalf of issuers, investors, arrangers, managers, trustees and others in a variety of securitisation, structured finance and debt capital markets transactions including receivables, mortgage and reinsurance securitisations, non-performing loan acquisitions/repackagings, CDOs/CLOs, covered bonds, medium term note and commercial paper programmes and other debt offerings.
